Send a hardwood lumber RFQ

The more of the spec you give, the better the match. Not sure about the grade? Describe the parts you will cut and attach a cut list.

What to put on a lumber RFQ

  • Species, and any color or sap rule (for example sap-free walnut)
  • Grade under NHLA or the rules you buy by
  • Thickness in quarters and whether you want it rough or surfaced
  • Drying: kiln dried, air dried or green
  • Quantity in board feet or m3, with any width or length limits
  • Delivery point, date and the paperwork you need
